Audi Q5: Possibly coming from US production

In a recent interview of Michael Dick, Audi's Head of Development, he revealed that he could imagine the Audi Q5 coming out of a US production facility. And if the production of the Audi Q5 has been started, it would be easy to also add other models who share the same platform technology such as the new Audi A4 and the new Audi A5.

In the interview he also confirmed that the Audi Q5 will come with Hybrid first in 2010 and that the Audi Q7 will get a full hybrid by end of this year.

He also said that no decision is made yet for a location, but they are checking all options: building on green field as well as buying an existing factory.

Unfortunately he didn't confirm if Audi will use the VW up! platform for their own city car which could come in 2011.
